I've heard there's a kind of clock called an atomic clock that keeps really accurate time. How is it different from a regular grandfather clock?

    Atomic clocks measure the rate of "vibration" between electrons and the nucleus of atoms for a specific element. This rate of vibration is very precise for each element under the right conditions, and serves as an extremely accurate time reference.
