Joseph Haydn was one of the most prolific composers of the Classical period. Amongst other compositions, he wrote more than 100 Symphonies. He was working at the court of Count Eszterhazy and had to serve dressed in a Livree. In significance, he comes right after Mozart and Bach. Haydn is known as the Father of the Symphony, since he established that form of music. He is also known for having humor in his music.
