  • Sensor should throw a "Code"!!! Get it read First. If Pads are "Short" it could "Bind" a "Piston", so check that, it's easy to do.
  • On a car that old, are you sure the piston isn't just worn and corroded? Most of the problems that cars had before they had computers are still a problem, they are just harder to catch because the computers confuse the issue. My '90 Tempo had that problem a few years ago. The right front brake locked, built up heat and caught the brake line and tire on fire. Had nothing to do with the ABS, it was just a corroded piston.
