  • Every shower I have been to was given by family members. Sometimes friends would co-sponsor them, but family was always involved.
  • I've never heard that. In fact most of the showers I've been to have been given my family members and these were all kinds of weddings. I even went to one that a grandmother gave for her granddaughter. It was great with all sorts of sge groups. Had a terrific fun time, lots of laughing:-)
  • I have heard of this rule of etiquette for bridal showers but I have not heard of it for baby showers. These restrictions are kind of antiquated, though. I wouldn't worry about them if you are planning or attending a shower of any kind.
  • Hmmmmmm....that's news to me. That's a social nicety I've never heard of. I've attended showers given by family and showers given by friends....and I think both are equally acceptable...
  • All the baby showers that I have been to are hosted by the woman's family. Then all family/close friends are invited. There will usually be a seperate work shower for coworkers only.
  • Whoever has the dough should do it.
