  • Public confidence in GOP governance has already plunged to the lowest levels of the Bush presidency sometime in 2006, and more recent Polls indicate that public approval ratings for Republicans have fallen to a fourteen-year low, however, most Congressional Republicans seem remarkably unalarmed about reported public opinion damage to their party, at least apparently -- I believe that people have dramatically underestimated how much damage George Walker Bush has done to the Republican Party, and I suspect that there's not a snowball's chance in hell of a Republican winning the two-thousand-eight presidential election. George Walker Bush is absolutely 'radioactive' and Republicans will suffer widespread election losses in November unless they distance themselves from him -- Republicans would lose 20 to 25 House seats if the election were held today -- If Senator McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, is seen by voters as 'Bush III' he will lose by 20 percentage points.
  • Whereas the Republicans have done a lot to deserve to lose an election, the Democrats have done nothing to make a compelling argument to vote for them. They are not offering policies to solve any problems. You'd think the Dems would be offering up bill after bill in Congress in order to show that they are capable of implementing change, but they just haven't. They're too busy winning the nomination or slamming Bush.
  • The media will determine that and the willing listeners.
  • I would have said that were true a few months ago. But with this democratic primary dragging out and creating animosity and conflict among democratic candidates and voters alike ... well, I think the democrats are going to give McCain a very good chance of winning
  • He tried, but the Dumocrats thwarted his efforts by having two of the most ignorant "people" around running for a nomination. The have probably insured another GOP victory.
  • Nope. The Dems still have plenty of opportunity to f*ck it up.
  • Let's just say that George W. Bush didn't help his own party.
  • i think neither the dumbocrats or republikkkans deserve a win, i urge everyone to vote for anyune but someone from either of those parties. vote independent! ;)
  • Who knows. IMHO the nomination of John McCain pretty much assures a victory for Obama. I don't think that has anything to do with Bush though.
  • I dont think he has Ruined it, but his party has certainly had to separate themselves from him.
  • No, the election is rigged via (electronic voting), look at McCain, his campaign is a big failure and he's losing by popular votes. Yet, he is going to become our next President.
  • Nope, McCain is going to get in. This is not a good thing.
  • If a Dem. can't win this year ..i would advise everyone to look into leaving the country. The fix maybe in
