  • Whiskey (ie whisky from anywhere other than Scotland) is Karuizawa, Single Cask 1988 Malt Whiskey from Japan. Scotch is either Balvenie Double Wood 12yo or Bowmore 12yo. Bourbon I must say Jack Daniels as I dont drink Bourbon and tend to just stick to scotch.
  • Bourbon - Pappy Van Winkle Scotch - Depends on the day but lets say Macallan Irish - Bushmills 21 year old Rye - Sazerac and what makes them better than the others, personal tase.
  • Laphroaig has been my favourite for about 25 years, and I prefer it to the rest because it has a strong, peaty / smoky flavour. As their adverts go, though, it's a love or hate thing with Laphroaig.
  • I like single malt scotch. Because there is so much variety in it, every region has it's characteristics and each distillery has it's own characteristics. Sometimes I have a couple cubes of ice with my scotch and it changes the flavor, quite a bit sometimes. I do like Laphroaig now that I can handle the peatyness of it. Glenrothes is my favourite though, a nice smooth speyside with slight peat and not too much sherry.
