    Amsterdam....Jamaica is not legal; however, their police are very lenient when it comes to marijuana.

    Yep, it is legal to smoke on the streets in all of the Netherlands, not just Amsterdam. Not many people do though, most stay in coffee shops. Cannabis laws in the Netherlands are very hazy (arf) so if you are going there you should read up on them first.

    In no country that I know of is it legal. It is tolerated in many though, including the Netherlands, and in practice in Britain and many other European countries.

    Not in too many places but it is tolerated in many places. Once in Canada an officer walked right past me when I had a huge doobie sparked.
