your body doesn't NEED Anything.. buts its a good idea to drink water anyways (its also a good idea to breathe..), it helps with a lot of bodily functions.. like digestion or movements (thinks joints, and sports).. even memory, its also good for your skin, i might not have any sources (just use "Google").. but if you look it up or even ask your family, you'll find out just how important it is. i mean.. with all the benefits of drinking water.. why not?

No -- but 6 to 8 liquid beverages is the recommended daily maximum. At least according to Harvard Medical School: http://www.health.harvard.edu/healthbeat/HEALTHbeat_091405.htm re: when to drink a glass The bottom line is, if you are thirsty better drink some water, because in that case, you're not drinking enough. (tx to falseambition for clarifying that point).

No. Somebody MADE UP that figure because he thought it was a good idea. It gets repeated because it sounds like a good idea, but there is no research to back it up.

No, you need the equivilant of eight glasses of water a day, but food and other drinks contain it too. Lets face it, if you drank that much plus all the 'friendly bacteria' drinks(which is nonsense anyway) and orange or any other kind of juice for vitamins PLUS whatever you like to drink, you would never be off the lav!

Who does this? I know its healthy! I know its good for skin, digestion, bowel movements, joints, overall health. I just would rather graba soda. I need help to be more disciplined with my water intake. On my search for older postings I found this so 4 points to all the answers that made sense...which turns out all.
