Umm, I think you're straight up wrong, I know you can get the 80's just about anywhere that sells PS3s. Try a game store, an I'm 99% sure that Wal-Mart would have them. The 1% is if your branch is out of stock.

Most stores are running out of 80gb PS3s because Sony isn't making them anymore. There is a new model in the works and it will be hitting the stores on June 12th. Most people "in the know" seem to think that it will be identical to the current 80gb model except it will include a Dual Shock 3 controller rather than the standard six-axis controller. The fact that Sony has stopped supplying retailers with the current 80gb model makes me think that there might be more up their sleeve than just their arms. Possibly the newer 80gb model will drop the backward compatibility like the 40gb model has. Possibly the new model will include a newer motherboard to accommodate a die shrink of the Cell processor, the GPU or even the memory chips. Who knows? We will probably find out as the date approaches. Hope this helps.

you can go to www.productsourcedirect.com they sell playstation 3 systems and they do have 80gb system.
