  • Personally I would not upgrade to Vista with that little RAM. Vista needs 2 gig RAM to work at full ability and you would have some serious lag running it on 512 RAM. As for the systems capabilities to run Vista, I am not too sure. I see no reason why it would not work but have read alot of articles saying the system needs to say "Vista capable" for Vista to run on that machine. Look for it where you see your processor type.
  • every thing would work except lack of ram, but even with right amount of ram the least being 1G it would only barely walk Vista. Personally there's just not enough fluff in Vista to make it worth while in changing to. As in the next yr the new OS will be out, which at this time they are calling Win.7 a mix of Vista & XP
  • Not enuff RAM I'm afraid.
  • Windows is very memory heavy. I would recommend upgrading your memory to at the absolute LEAST 1GB, preferably 2GB or more. GFX card is fine. MP is fine. Could use a little more HD space though, but if you haven't had any problem with storage on your old system, it won't be much of a problem. It'll work fine, just make sure you upgrade memory.
