well then, answer me this: how is he NOT the most perfect boyfriend?
-
when he says he will love Bella forever, he means forever!!!! and something tells me only non-human guys can love forever......
-
HE'S NOT!!! The guy is so over protective it's not even funny! I mean, sure, he may look like a Greek god- if that's what you go for- but he's got no personality. He keeps trying to kill himself whenever he thinks Bella dies! How would you feel if your boyfriend told you "hey, I'm going to go off myself when you die." It's a nice thought- but can you say creepy? Edward wouldn't let you have any fun- and he doesn't have a decent sense of humor. It''s hard to laugh at a stone.

He's not because he's a semi-immortal suicidal emo. I mean ok seriously in THEORY it might be all awesome to have this really pretty guy who is completely selfless, doesn't wear the pants in any relationship, is willing to GIVE YOU UP if he arbitrarily decides that another guy is good for you and, oh yes let's not forget fruitlessly tries to kill himself every time he thinks you've kicked the bucket...but in reality that would get annoying and pathetic really REALLY fast

he's everything any girl could ever want. a guy might not understand it but he loves Bella more than his own life. He's gorgeous, but it's deeper. It's everything about him. You'd have to read the books. It cant even be put into words.

He is the perfect guy for Bella, giving her what she needs and wants. He may not be the perfect boyfriend/guy for everyone, but you read the book through her eyes thus making him the perfect guy while you are in her head. He loves Bella for everything she is, for who she is. He loves her not inspite of her flaws, or because of her flaws, but with them as part of her whole being. He is willing to give up everything for her, as she is for him. It is not about his looks, he is amazingly beautiful, but once again it is through Bella's eyes. Edward tells Bella how he feels, he cares for her completely. Edward is Bella's soulmate. Since you experience this all through her point of view, you see him as the perfect boyfriend. And yes he is protective of her, and yes it can be overbaring at times, but it is even an issue Bella discusses with him. They communicate, an essential part of any healthy relationship. In reality he is a manifestation of what we all want, our soulmate, and how even in a world where there is no love in our life and it seems impossible to find, that it might be waiting for us in a place we never expected, in a person we would have never expected. I see Edward as the perfect boyfriend because he is the reason why I believe in love again and was willing to open myself up to the possibility. Edward would drive me crazy, I think, if he was my boyfriend, but I am open and trying to find my Edward. In other words, I want my soulmate.

edward makes a lot of decisions that usually end up hurting bella, but mostly he has bella's best interests at heart. & he tries hard to make her happy & he likes her despite all her obvious flaws.

Nobody can list all of his perfect qualities!

Haha... actually he's not. Oh and before you dr me... I am a huge Edward Cullen fan and I think this is histerical and I still love him anyway. Why Edward Cullen is an abusive boyfriend: First are some red flags that SHOULD have warned bella: --He looks at her and acts in ways that scare her --Acts Jealous and Possessive --Tries to control how she spends her time, who she sees and talks to, and where she goes --Scares her by driving recklessly --Threatens to kill himself --Stops her from seeing family and friends Here are different types of abuse edward is guilty of: Emotional Abuse: Time after time, Edward has been verbally abusive to Bella. Sometimes it is joking and playful—other times it is simply unneccessary. Examples: Bella, it's not my fault if you are exceptionally unobservant. Bella, you are utterly absurd. Honestly—I've seen corpses with better color. Don't be offended, but you seem to be one of those people who just attract accidents like a magnet. So try not to fall into the ocean or get run over or anything, all right? Only you could get into trouble in a town this small. I've never tried to keep a specific person alive before, and it's much more troublesome than I would have believed. But that's probably just because it's you. Ordinary people seem to make it through the day without so many catastrophes. Are you referring to the fact that you can't walk across a flat, stable surface without finding something to trip over? You are a terrible actress—I'd say that career path is out for you. Damn it, Bella! You'll be the death of me, I swear you will. Now relax before I call the nurse back to sedate you. If we could bottle your luck, we'd have a weapon of mass destruction on our hands. I wasn't about to send you off alone. With your luck, not even the black box would survive. You aren't exactly the best judge of what is or isn't dangerous. Must I always be the responsible one? Intimidation: How many times—in just the first book alone—was Bella afraid of Edward, afraid to look at him, afraid of what his reaction might be? How many times did she attempt to sneak around and do something behind his back because she knew it would anger him? Coercion and Threats: Threats of suicide are serious. So is acting in a threatening manner toward friends or family. These are no laughing matter in a real life relationship. Examples: I infuriate myself. The way I can't seem to keep from putting you in danger. My very existence puts you at risk. Sometimes I truly hate myself. Well, I wasn't going to live without you... I was thinking maybe I would go to Italy and do something to provoke the Volturi... Anyway, you don't irritate the Volturi. Not unless you want to die—or whatever it is we do. I thought I'd explained it clearly before. Bella, I can't live in a world where you don't exist. Power Abuse: How often has Edward made choices for Bella that she did not agree with and was powerless to change? Example: In what strange parallel dimension would I ever have gone to prom of my own free will? If you weren't a thousand times stronger than me, I would never have let you get away with this Isolation: How many of these things have happened in the Twilight saga? He disabled her truck so she couldn't leave. He bribed Alice to monitor her—virtually imprison her—in his absence. He forbid her to see her best friend under any circumstances. Physical Edward is Guilty of: Locking up or Confining Psychological or Emotional: Restricting or controlling access to resources and friends Stalking/Harassing Behavior: Following and Appearing unexpectedly at or waiting outside workplace or home Website: www.squidoo.com/cullenabuse

EDWARD IS FIT; SEXY; HANDSOME AND.... ETC
-
He's not. He's not the same species... it's unnatural. lol

It's been a while since I watched the film, but I remember him being pretty scary towards bella! I wouldnt say he's the perfect boyfriend, because he scared her, and left her uncertain. Oh, and he could, at any point, decide to eat her...
-
I don't think he's the perfect boyfriend, for a number of reasons (which have mostly been expressed by other users), but for the sake of argument, I'll mention his good qualities. I can appreciate his protectiveness over Bella. The movie really captures this quality during the scene in which she has to separate from him to go in hiding from the evil vampires (forgot their names). He was so sweet and tender towards her. I can see why high school girls would find him captivating.
-
He's not. I think he's too controlling of Bella. Especially in the 3rd book. Annoying! Plus he has stalking problems!
-
He is not... I have not read the Twilight series but I have sense enough to realize that a sparkly 17 year old vampire whelp is not enough to satisfy.
