I will only say what I know for fact. We owe China 6 billion dollars. Billion. They have paid for war. And they want that money by November. What was that about gas prices being over $6 a gallon this summer?

In one word, Greed. Coporate greed, greed of the individual, everyman for himself mentatlity. Greed is the word of the day and it is destroying the nation.

I do not think the U.S. is in "dire straits". Sudan is in dire straits.

I would say this is like any other economic trough we've gone through. The catch is that we've had twenty years of unprecedented growth that we're not used to things slowing down and markets correcting themselves.
