Awww..nooo BFF. How in heck they manage that? Here's a link to their baggage section. According to it, you may be held liable, depending on how it was declared when it was loaded. They claim that such articles of "exceptional value" including buisness machines and laptops, can actually be at "Owner's risk". File a claim anyway, it can't hurt. Ohh and by the way, if it were me, I'd be neutering that greyhound for payback.

If you have homeowners or renters insurance file a claim with them. It won't recover the loss of your stuff on the PC, but it's better than nothing . . . My luggage was stolen from Grand Central (train) Station, NYC - right in front of my eyes, as I checked to see what track I should board. I had renters insurance with GEICO and they covered it without question. It was a weekend trip, but a couple pairs of jeans, sweaters, heels, some jewelry, blow dryer, and Clinique makeup adds up real quick. My only unreplaceable loss was a small photo album, but it still killed me to realize my stuff was taken by a homeless person or a druggie who was peddling it on the street outside. GEICO covered my cell phone replacement years later too, when the valet girl at a club in Las Vegas stole my dead cell phone from the glove compartment where I'd put it right before handing over my keys . . . It's a long story, but basically the little lizard dude did good by me more than once! Too bad, I don't think GEICO offers homeowners anymore - probably all those claims without question, huh?

If you had ANY personal information on your PC such as financial info, Social Security, etc., then you should contact all of the appropriate institutions and notify them of the theft. You will want everything transfered to new accounts so that someone does not steal your money and/or identity. This is something that you should do as soon as possible.
