Why is it that some women never say what they want or mean because they always expect men to know what they are thinking?

Yeah, I was talking to my girlfriend the other day and she was bitching to me about her husband that she's been married to for years and how he doesn't do certain things that she loves for him to do, in the bedroom. I asked her if she specifically asked him what she wants and her reply was, "we've been married this long, he should know". I suppose some women are like that. I do not understand that as I express myself all the time so that men generally know where they stand with me and they know exactly what I want. Maybe some women feel that they want men to give the women what they want without being asked so that it is sincere...from the men's hearts? A man did what he did or said without being told because that's what he WANTED to do/say?

When you have been with me as long as my husband and best-friend have. They should know a little more about me then they act like. So when certain things come up and they don't know what I am thinking or how I will react. Grrrrrrr

Dishy Diva, you are exactly right. Some men do it too. I wish everyone would say what they mean and mean what they say like Jen-Jen. Most of us aren't mind readers. Then people get all mad when you don't know what they mean. Well, they don't even realize that it's THEIR fault for not saying what they mean.

I think some women expect men to be able to read them. Women tend to usually learn patterns of what to other likes and wants. When some women dont get that back, they might feel a little disappointed. I think alot of women too are so woried about measuring up to their friends relationships... (The percieved norm). Every relationship is different and needs to be treated accordingly :)

I always say what I mean. I don't expect anyone to read my mind. I certainly am no mind reader!

Well that's the mistake that I had made ...I expected someone to read my mind ...What a fool I was .... Guess now I always say what I feel :-) !

This is the dreamer in us. We want our guy to know us so well that he will "know" what we're thinking and feeling..if you have to tell your guy, then, well, it doesn't count you see. I know it's not fair, but we are at times romantics and part of the romantic myth is to be "one" with the person you love..and if you are truly "one" then of course he would know what was on your mind! :)
