  • I am not aware of any instance of that happening.
  • Nope, just in English.
  • Yes,and I say something nice back to them.
  • Yes. It is the Romanian word for "slave": tsigane (and its many variants). That is what we are called in EU. There is a German one that has been used on me. I could not pronounce or remember that thing to save my life. Typed out it is almost an inch long. Most of the ethnic slurs I have been called have been in English. -----------edit I found the German ethnic slur (I was reading my Holocaust sites and happened upon it again). The person who said it to me in real life mangled it badly but since he was a neo-Nazi I did some digging (the guy was American and could not even pronounce his own insults correctly): Zigeunergeschmeiss: "Gypsy scum". I have also been called that with various misspellings online. Ok, so it is not an inch long. It is more like an 1 1/2 inch to 2 inches. I have been called other things in other languages but, if it is in real life, it is such gobbledigook that I cannot make it out (they always go back to gold ol' English when I look at them like they just swallowed a fly) and if it is online it is often so badly misspelled that I do not know what it means. Bigots are not very bright. When they have to struggle to pronounce their OWN insults it really ruins the effect. :)
