The answer to this has changed over the last few decades. At one time, I would have answered that the people deserve what they vote for, but now I believe the voting system is so corrupt that who are government officials will be is no longer in the hands of the people.

the equally bad. it is a continuous cycle... think about it we elect them-->they screw it up--> we elect them again-->they screw up again etc. the chain can only be broken with a change in the monotonous cycle of the government.

It's the approximate 70% of the people who bitch like hell and then don't bother to vote. Full voting regardless of the popular vote or the electorial vote system would change the government. Of course you still have ignorant and uninformed who will be led and use unrealistic and bogus criteria to select their choice.

A lot of people actually do not know what they (the government) are doing because there are so many other issues that people focus on. It's like a diversion.

the officals are worse...like we have a say in anything ha! they practically control the votes the way it's all set up...
