  • no more than rap is
  • I think so, I hate that "show".
  • Not for me..I don't watch or pay attention in any way.
  • nah.. i don't think music has even noticed it!
  • I don't think Idol is the cause, but it sure dosen't help.
  • Yes it is, before idol or x factor, you had to work hard for many years at getting good and famous. "Proper bands" that are still here today. for example, pink floyd, if you forget what they play for a minute, it took them years to become what they are and millions of people still listen to them today, because they have "real talent". being able to sing is 1 part of being good. we´re all forgetting about the other side. be able to keep it going, be able to push yourself forward and become better all the time. Idol and X Factor only promote the singing part, the contestants havn´t got what it needs to be a true musician. Thats why they dont last. Being a musician is a job. a real job. you need to start from the beginning and work your way up. why dont they have a bank factor, which if you win, you become the owner of a bank?? sounds stupid i know but thats exactly what x factor and idol are doing to the music industry! Jump straight to the top without any experience, qualifications, anything. They are making it far too easy to become famous and a so called "musician" Real musicians that are however trying to build up their music and playing in their cities trying to become something are the ones that are true musicians and have the passion that music needs. The people that enter Idol and Xfactor dont know what it is to be a musician, seeing them sing/dance/play is only a fraction of the work that needs done. They dont see the other side, the "hard struggle" side of it.
  • No, i dont think so.. it is however ruining TV at least the winners of idol shows have actual talent, and arent just good looking people who can dance and mime like alot of musical artists these days!!
  • Torrents, limewire, emule, online download sights are killing the music industry.
  • No, I just ignore it and listen to other stuff.
  • No, rap already did that
