  • No, I'd call him a selfish git. Terrorism would imply that he has an agenda to achieve through the use of manipulating the population via fear tactics. This guy is just a tool and should be slapped upside the head on every occasion.
  • That implies that almost EVERY trucker out there is a terrorist...
  • A terrorist? I think you may be watching a bit too much CNN.
  • I was going to print a bumper sticker: speeding is terrorism. i think it would sell big. a lot of speeders might slow down long enoough to break a few windows and yell obscenities at the drivers. just to prove they arent terrorists.
  • According to the PATRIOT Act they are!
  • That's the same as saying someone who downloads a piece of music off a torrent is a terrorist, or someone who drops a piece of litter is a terrorist. I think someone who carries a bomb around with them is a terrorist, but not someone that drives slightly faster than they're supposed to.
  • After reading this question and some of your comments to other answers, jack, I have to say that I feel you are tilting at windmills here. If someone who ignores the law is a terrorist, then ALL children are terrorists. Ditto jaywalkers and anybody who wears a short-sleeve shirt in Massachusetts (I think that law is still on the books, just not enforced). If someone who incites fear in others is a terrorist, most politicians and many Christians are terrorists. If mere violence makes you a terrorist, then Vince McMahon is Osama Bin Laden's right-hand man and the NHL is an offshoot of Al Qaeda. If you want people who think they own the road and have no regard for other vehicles that might get in their way, then you are talking about SUV drivers, even the ones who obey the speed limit. I have nearly been creamed on hundreds of occasions and actually backed into by one in a parking lot who, thinking they hit a curbstone, actually floored the gas trying to "get over the bump"; they didn't let off the gas until I pounded on their window and told them there was a car there! Or how about cell-phone users? Or parents who spend more time and effort disciplining their brats than watching the road? I would rather see a driver with good lane discipline and situational awareness doing 63 in a 55 than any of those others even turning the key. realistically, there are places where doing the speed limit can get YOU ticketed for obstructing traffic; it's easier to pull over one driver than 73, and they are moving perfectly fine and safe until they get to your rear bumper and swerve around you. Match speeds with them and they won't swerve and the roads are safer for us all! Choose your battles.
  • Nah, too harsh. Settle down a bit, that's what starts wars.
