At the funeral of Jamie Bulger, the Bishop of Liverpool gave a very thought provoking sermon. He talked about how when we are born we come from a safe warm, comfortable womb into the bright lights and scarey world. He suggested that when we die perhaps we are just continuing our journey onwards from our nice safe world. The funeral was many years ago but his words stuck in my mind. I can see how these words can give comfort to some.
