Do what I do. Take advantantage of her/him. I talk circles around her, plus she has a crush on me. So basically, I do whatever I want all the time. And if at any point she disagrees, I can quickly convert her thinking.

If they're an idiot all the time, you need a strategy. I nod, smile and say "that's a really interesting idea, I'll go away and see if I can make that work". Then I go off and do it how it should be done. I also have a cv ready to email off when I see a better opportunity.

Suck it up. I do whatever they tell me to do, they're my boss. I'm being paid to do it. My pay will remain the same.

I've worked for a couple..first you should try to contain any damage they can do by making yourself a "buffer" zone between his/her activities and the worst-case scenario result..the job of each employee is to safeguard the assets of the company for whom they work..in my case, I was an accountant and the Finacial Officer was a doofus..I mentioned this to the secretary of the President and to my relief they were aware of it and were working to "correct" it..so that gave me permission to work around him..poor guy, he never knew what hit him! :(
