First while lying prone in the middle of the board, stroke the water to get moving. Lift the top of your body by doing a push-up and pull the trunk of your body underneath the top by squating your legs. OK, now stand up. Experience surfers stand up with one foot in front of the other. Most people are left foot foward. This allows the feet to press down right or left on the board. The board cuts the water guiding the board. One must lean to maintane balance. Have fun!
