I think if both of you are consenting adults, then it is ok to do whatever you both feel comfortable doing. I think if he wants you to beat him, then you should create a safety word for him and get out the belt.
If a part of you thinks beating him is wrong, then you should not do anything you do not wish to do. No one should be coerced into doing anything sexually.

If you are both consenting adults, and he asks for a beating then feel free to oblige. How hard and long it goes on depends on his needs at the time.
