When a 5 year old kid is getting ready to get their tonsils out tomorrow, is it normal for that kid to be sick up until the time of getting the tonsils out?

If his tonsils are infected so badly that they have to be removed, of course he is sick. He is probably frightened also. The mother should talk to the doctor to find out what to expect.
