Because we live in a Bass-ackward state and they call them Tags to add insult to mental injury. I guess they need to arrest more people for prison in this messed up transient state that we live in.
-
It's the same in Québec and I've always wondered why too.

It's not just Florida, you know. Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia ALL do not require front plates. Why do the rest of the states require them when it is almost inevitably from behind that a car can be seen for an extended period of time? Ask a police officer how often they actually USE the front plate on a car some time.
-
I would be pissed if I even had to put something to hold a front plate on my car, they take away the look of a nice car.
-
Because 2 plates will be a lot of extra work for convicts to do. It takes away from playtime.
-
Because it's cheaper than having two tags on your car.
