  • Typical sound cards only have one output, destined to connect to speakers or headphones. This output is analog, so it's not as 'pure' as you may think. But if this is good enough, just use any recording device that has an auxiliary input jack. A microphone input may do as well. You'll need to get an audio cable that has the right connectors on the ends to attach to your recording device and the output connector of your sound card. That's it. If you prefer to get the audio in digital format, it may not be possible unless your sound card has a 'digital out' connection. This is where things get sticky because not all digital outputs are the same.
