  • Around here it is called 500. A single batter hits to a group of fielders and each catch is worth a different amount. Catch is made before the ball hits the ground: 100 points. Catch is made after one bounce: 75 points. Catch is made after two bounces: 50 points. Catch is made after three of more bounces/grounder: 25 points. Negative points are awarded if you fail to make a catch. Similar negative awards as positive: i.e. -100 points for a dropped fly ball -75 points for dropping a ball that bounces once -50 points for dropping a ball that bounces twice -25 points for dropping a ball that bounces more then twice/grounder The first fielder to get 500 or more points becomes the batter.
