I could have died for my adopted country South Africa in a war. So die for Scotland. Almost certainly.

Only if my country wasn't ruled by psychopaths bent on conquering other peaceful nations.

Not willingly, no. If I had to I would. That is all.

No. However, it is interesting to note that suicide bombers in Iraq are literally dying for their country.

At this point no in fact I'd use other people as Human shields to survive.

I would take part in an action without fear of death in defense of my country, and would die if necessary because of that action, but I wouldn't risk my life or ask other's to risk theirs for the expansion of territory, as it has been demonstrated time and again that modern warfare destroys what it claims to foster.
