There are lots of mail-order pharmacies that are perfectly legal. Yes, they require prescriptions. Some of them also have online access. I have used such pharmacies. Any site that dispenses prescription drugs without a prescription is doing so illegally. There are no dumb questions that you need a serious answer for. :o)

Any drugs you have shipped into the U.S. (i.e. from Canada) are subject to American laws. So if you buy a drug from a Canadian pharmacy online, you have to fax them a copy of your prescription. Yes, it's legal, and you can save a ton of money... the downside is that it's inconvenient and takes more time.

You can order certain non-controlled medications online from US licensed and located online pharmacies. Its is 100% legal and safe, as they have to adhere to FDA regulations. I order my birth control online from a US located pharmacy and get a online consultation with a doctor and the order shipped overnight. Its all been pretty safe and easy, especially since I don't have health insurance. This is the website I order from: http://www.onlineretailpharmacy.info/
