I was just a kid, only fifteen or sixteen. I don't know if my parents had a talk with his parents or something, but he dropped out of school and I think his folks were responsible for keeping him away from me. For which I am profoundly grateful. Scary bastard.

My ex boyfriend stalked me after i broke up with him, he used to sit on the wall opposite my house, send me letter etc this went on for nearly 18 months and the police did nothing, my neighbours realised what was happening and the man went outside and punched him and said if he didnt stop he would have 2 broken legs, it scared him off long enough for me to leave scotland and i havent seen him since

I was stalked by a professor at the uni I attended. At first he would just wave to me on campus, and I ignored him (having been warned that he stalked students). Then....he moved into the house across the road from my parents. That was freaky. He must have looked up my records. How else would he have moved there in all of Sydney? Then I was stuck with him on the bus and on the train every morning. I used to go up to women on the platform and tell them I was being followed. They let me stand with them till the train came. He used to try and sit beside me. He would wave his hand in my face to try and get my attention. It was horrific. And that was in the days before stalking was recognised. I didn't get rid of him. The University transferred him overseas. I hate to think how many other girls were stalked by him.

Yes! the best way to get rid of them is to point out what a pityful human being they are and that their behavior is that of a mentally unstable,desperate,lonely person.

Yeah. I got a restraining order against him, told all my neighbors so that they could help me keep an eye out for him/call police if they saw him, and had my brother in law, whom he was afraid of, come stay with me! I also called the cops on him each and every time I caught him following/stalking me, and had him arrested for it 3 times.

Yes, it was pretty weird. Nothing violent, but she was pretty nuts. I went out with her once, and didn't want to date her again... she would follow me around, call me all the time, and show up somehow wherever I was. I talked to her about it a few times, but she still kept following me around. Finally, a friend of mine felt bad about the situation, and stepped in. He had like, no soul, and he was proud of it, so he tried hitting on her to take the heat off me. It seemed to work, so I owe him one I guess.

Yes. He fled the state and is probably in jail somewhere at this point or dead. He had issues. Well, duh.

An ex gf. She underestimated my hermit-like abilities and eventually faded away.

Yes and went on for years even after the restraining order was issued. Phones calls, driving by at all times of the day and night, looking in my windows in middle of the night.... he was / is one messed up guy!
