Lotsa turmoil in my life right now, so i asked "GOD" if she was really there, and could i have a sign? please? two hours later we (the chicago area) had an earthquake. am i crazy?

Don't confuse that event with God. If you believe... he will let you know what he wants from you and it's not about wealth, health, or happiness. Wow, what are your options then????, you'll find out one day.

I find it hard to believe God would shake up Chicago just to prove to one person he/she/whatever is there.

Something like this happened to me once, i asked my spirit guide if she was there and a minute later i saw a huge white shooting star in the sky. it was so close i could kinda hear the screeching sound that it made. I don't think you're crazy, Maybe its because you asked if " SHE " was really there lol, Maybe god is a girl???

When God made man she was only joking and now she has to employ earthquakes and volcanoes, plagues of all sorts and tsunamis to try to cull a few every now and again. Crazy? No, just a timely coincidence!

No, but you are exhibiting a classic case of "Confirmation Bias". You were looking for a "sign from God", and when a sufficiently improbable event occurred, you took it as confirmation of your question. Other people see the Virgin Mary in a pancake. Thinking a geological event was divinely inspired seems pretty crazy to me. Everyone knows that all religious questions must be asked in DOS. God are you there? 'God' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

God works in misterious ways.. If you want to believe that it's a sign, than believe it! We witnes miracles every day, and yet we are blind. You do not consider it as a sign because people told you to, but because God told you! Nobody has ever seen God, and nobody will ever see him, but he is speaking to us all the time. And do not appologize for believing!

I would not attach any personal, relevant significance to the earthquake. It could as easily be mischievous demons playing mindgames with you. :(

2 minute later, its a sign. 2 hours later, its a sign. 2 days later, its a sign. 2 weeks later, its a sign. How long do you wait before a sign becomes just coincidence?

Read Quran with hope and open heart ... you will see that it is as if God is speaking to you (not literally --- i mean understanding, hope, tranquility, assurance) ... that is the best way to really feel at heart that God does exist keep in mind that Quran is completely traced back to the mouth of the prophet Muhammad ppbuh. And prophet Muhammad ppbuh claimed to the people that Angel Gabriel taught him Quran. And Angel Gabriel claimed to Muhammad that God taught him Quran. So, beyond prophet Muhammad ppbuh Muslims by faith trace back Quran to God solely. You are going to sense this sole authorship from the composition of Quran. if you are really in turmoil and you really care about bringing yourself back to peace and tranquility, then give Quran a try. For your own sake.
