  • For me it's worse when someone I've been close to leaves the area, I feel a real sense of grief and loss if we've been good friends and really miss them. But when I lose touch with someone nearby I realize that on some level we must both have wanted to - or, at least, not needed the freindship enough to keep it going.
  • Losing touch with a friend who lives right near you. Distance is no problem, but if you can't be close to a friend that lives near you, then you really don't have much of a friend at all.
