Black is the absence of all light. Without light our optic nerve cannot form a picture of any color. Logically therefore since black is the lack of perception of any color, it is no color at all. With this in mind, it is impossible for there to be anything darker than black because black is darkness itself.

There must be. I saw a T-shirt that said, "I'm only wearing black till I can find something darker."

Keithold, what are you planning?
-
NO as black is no light but there are different colors of black. And there are shiny blacks and dull blacks.
-
In color theory, no because as stated, black is the absence of any light and therefore as dark as possible. Except for aliens with superpowers. However, if you are painting, I would suggest the darkest blue you can find and give it two coats because that will make it look darker than if you used black.

i hope so

Regardless of how colors look. The absolute absence of light is black and you can't get any darker than that. Lots of theory and discussion but that's the absolute black truth.
