  • Baby Aspirin is a misnomer. The "baby" aspirin are for daily heart therapy. Children under 12 should not take aspirin due to the increased risk of Reye's syndrome. Teenagers and children who show signs of the Flu or chickenpox show NEVER take aspirin because of Reye's syndrome. 81mg Aspirin are called baby aspirin because if the name was changed after all these years, the older generations would be confused. Doctor's still prescribe "baby aspirin" to them.
