  • Have you tried a lotion that contains contains colloidal oatmeal like Aveeno? I have really sensitive skin and get bumps too, this works extremely well for me. It also doesn't clog pores (most oils do). There is a formulation that lasts for 24 hours to help with the "rough" skin you described. You could try making your own "scrub" out of plain old oatmeal mix to exfoliate the skin on your arms before applying a lotion or oil. I throw a cup of Quaker in the blender to mill it to a fine powder and then add water until I have a paste. I use the paste and a loofah/sponge to exfoliate rough areas. Scrub gently so that you don't irritate your skin. You might also try cleansing the area with Cetaphil which is extra gentle and leaves skin very soft. I know these are not exactly home remedies, but they are effective so I thought I would pass them on. Hope it helps.
  • A scrub or an exfoliation will only make things worse. You need to really pamper your skin with something thick that has lots of moisturizers. I use Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy Original Mositurizing Cream. It has more moisturizers in it than a regular lotion. Generously put the cream on your arms at least once a day (I do it right out of the shower and right before bedtime) and you will notice a difference right away, and the bumps will be almost completely gone in a week or two. Cosmopolitan magazine says Eucerin also makes something even stronger which they reccomend for the problem, but I have never been able to find it anywhere.
  • If the little bumps look like little pimples, STOP washing and scrubbing! You have to go to a doctor, because it's probably a rash. My sister had this last year, and the doctor gave her a cream (don't remember what it was) and it cleared up in a week. It's caused because your skin is sensitive in some places, and certain clothes, creams, scrubs, and soaps irritate it.
  • I just met with my dermatologist today....I have the same problem. The technical term is "keratosis pilaris" and the nickname is "chicken skin." If you go to webmd.com and search for "keratosis pilaris," you will find an article that explains it and some optional treatments. The dermatologist said that lotions with alphahydroxy acid are the best choice.
  • daily just use a "neted scruber" and rub gently in small circles on the area. after doing this daily for a week you should notice the difference. also body brushing helps.
  • I'm not sure about this, but i have heard that you can use ( don't know the enlish term) But the cleaning middle you use when you clean you dildo. (dildo rens). I have heard thats to be really effective. =)
  • Try Elicina. It is imported from Chile, but seems to help a variety of skin conditions.
