The Exorcist stayed with me for months when I first saw it. It still creeps me out to watch it but it's so well acted and photographed that imo, it's the best horror movie ever made.

Okay, Exorcist scared the living crap out of me as a kid, but today, it might not be possible to spook me like that anymore. The one movie that gave me a rush (oddly enough, cuz it wasn't that good) was the Messengers. It didn't scare me, but the scene where the house was going ballistic was so loud in the theater I went to and the effects in the surround sound was so very well put together that it did give me goosebumps.

Donnie Darko. It was more of a phsycological thriller, though. At least for me. I was so scared I had to shut it off and watch it when I wasn't alone. It must have been a comical sight to see me crawling up to the DVD player with my hand sheilding my eyes...
