  • I'd like to be on allllllll threeeeeeeee
  • C) None of the above. I would like to think that I could be an active member of society and pay my own way. It would hurt me deeply if I couldn't contribute. I was on benefits for a while, and I have no desire to go back.
  • Disability.........I'm disables, but not according to the government yet.
  • C) none of the above.
  • I am on Social Security income because I am retired. If I were disabled I would want to be on disability if I were not eligible for Social Security. I am not sure what the requirements are to qualify for food stamps, but if they are needed and used for food and not cigarettes or alcohol, then I think they perform a much-needed service. :)
  • I would rather not need the help ... but none of you want me working a job, trust me, the panic attacks and general flipping-out make it slghtly dangerous and probably scary to work with me. Do you have a job where I never have to come into contact with any new people and I never have to be in an unfamiliar place?
  • I am 69 and on Social Security retirement. Since I worked for the State, I didn't make an income that allowed me to build up a huge estate (investments) on which to live after retirement.
  • i prefer earning my own way but b) i'm in my 50's and have contributed to SS so I think I've earned my right to collect it
  • I would rather be none of the above but that is boring so I'll pick Social Security...Because with food stamps all you get is food. and with disability...well I really don't know how this stuff all works. I dont know anyone who's ever lived off the government...where I'm from we tend to work for our money (that being said...i'm talking about people not of retirement age)
  • I would rather not be on any, I don't need them. There are far too many people who truly require the help so it is better if assigned to those in need. Never the less Social Security should be for everyone. Regards.
  • None of the above. Save it for the people who really need it. ~+~
  • C) None of the above. Not (a) because I'm not disabled. Not (b) because I haven't retired, and when I do, I'll have enough saved up to support myself and not have to collect. Not (d) because I work, and can support myself and family. If I had to pick one to be on, would be (a) disability. At least if you're disabled, you have more of an excuse not to work, and if you're disabled young, will have an excuse of not enough time to prepare for retirement. Still, (c) is the goal to achieve.
  • None of the above. I don't need any of it.
  • My choice would be C -- None of the Above As long as I am able to work, I'd like to work and make my own living. I do think those programs are wonderful aids for those who need them. Someday I might be one of those people, and I only hope that the programs are there if I do need them. My father was permanently disabled, and we lived on his disability check (and temporary work that my step-mother did) while I was growing up. We didn't have a lot, but my father budgeted so that he didn't have to apply for foodstamps or anything else. I do, however, have problems seeing people apply for disability or food stamps or whatever, who do not need it. I have countless people apply for jobs where I work and tell me, "I can only work X amount of hours, or I'll lose my disability". I've never understood how, if they are able to work, they can draw disability in the first place. Or, people who want me to write untrue statements about how much they make so that they might get help with food stamps or child care or whatever. I am so glad those programs are there for the people who need them, but I have a hard time condoning people "Screwing the system".
  • I AM on disability!
  • C) None of the above. I am too young to retire and I am not disabled, so it would be fraud if I collected either one. I have no need for food stamps. I can pay my own way without help and I have a healthy attitude about saving money. I always have a "reserve", just in case.
  • C) none of the above. Why? Well, because I would rather earn my money honestly.
  • I've been on a specific program which hands out money for free, and even though I might have needed it then you still feel horrible and freakin' useless benefiting from it, so I can't imagine doing that now that I'm able to look after myself, no matter how much I bitch about my job all the time. So, none of the above unless I can't help it.
  • I appologize if this is a repeat. I am not sure if my answer went through. I receive all three benefits. Am I ashamed? Not at all. I didn't cause my disability and I am working hard to get back to work. (no pun intended)
  • I've benefited from each of those mentioned at one time or another when much younger. And all I can say is: Ain't nothin' really "free"! ;-)
  • C) None of the above. Reasons: If I was on disability, that means something bad happened to me. If I had Social Security Income, that means I'm near the end part of my life. If I had foodstamps, that would mean I couldn't afford everything I need financially.
  • none of the above,, coz i am what i am a simple guy
