If you do not want to replant them you can just cut them down. Remember to cut at a 90 degree angle.

You can divide them into smaller pots and have two plants, or you can prune them. Or, if you want a really really large hanging plant, repot into a larger pot and make sure the hanger is strong too. It depends on the type of plant. I used to shy away from pruning until my mother pruned all my houseplants and it made them much healthier.
