What would cause a faucet to lose water pressure, in the kitchen. No other water devices are running at all. I turn on the faucet and a high pitches squeal comes out and the water pressure is low.

If it has a rubber washer then it might be jamming or has come loose, turn water off and check also for debris in the faucet at the same time :o)

Have you got an airlock in the system? have you tried other taps?

check the other faucets to insure proper water pressure. if they are fine this means your problem is in this one area. could be in the fixture with hard water build up. could be in the pipe turn off valve found under the sink. hard water build up or rust. could be someone put something under the sink and hit the value and turned it down. check and make sure it is turned up. if this does not fix the problem change the valve and or fixture.
