  • The liver is to the right of the mid line below the rib cage. And the gall bladder is under that.... Also part of the ascending large intestine. Perhaps you just have gas. You may have also pulled a muscle. Its hard to say.
  • If you feel the pain after eating a super fatty food, probably it's a clogged gall bladder.
  • Gall bladder.
  • You should go see a doctor if its really bothering you.
  • I have been having these same symptoms for more than 24 hours now. I spent 2.5 hrs at emergycare. They checked my blood, urine and took xrays but everything was normal. I was sent home with pain medicine, I've taken 2 and they haven't helped the pain. Tomorrow I am suppose to go an have a ultrasound. I would of thought if its just ingestion it would of passed by now, any ideas?
  • This sort of thing was going on with my dad for a while. It turned out the cartilage that sort of connects your ribs to other junk in there got inflamed or irritated or something and made him feel like he had a constant side ache for a few weeks. I'd still go to the doctor, just to be safe.

"It could also be liver spasms which are occurring as the result of several different illnesses."
