No Middle school is usually grade 6,7,and 8. While Junior High is 7,8, and 9.

In New Hampshire in my old home town, middle school was 5th grade to 9th grade. Here in Massachusetts Junior High is 7th and 8th. They are not the same. Middle school starts earlier than Jr. High and has more grades.

Yeah, pretty much. You won't be hearing anyone referring to jr. high school anymore, only middle school and then high school.

in most cases yes... jr high is usually 6,7,8 grades most middle schools are also 6,7,8th greades... to eleviate over crowding in both elementary schools and middle schools some school systems have added and intermidiate schools... 5 and 6 grades. taking one grade levels from the elementary schools and the middle school so they would not have to build a new grade school to take a class out of each grade school and then also expand an already crowded middle school.
