No it is legal... most hospitals and medical operations have security features in place to keep this from happening. They treat family members with more precaution than regular clients/paitents in most companies because there is more tendency for abuse even though it may be unintentional.

No it is NOT legal..unless this nurse has a need to know in order to perform her job. Eahc hospital varies..however checks and blances are in place to protect confidential info
