I'd go with a strong vacuum cleaner, and get all the dirt and particles out, then take a damp (but not wet) lint-free wash cloth and wipe the table

I'd say Q-tips or pipe cleaners would work the best if it is really dusty. If that is the case, then pipe cleaners would be the best option, available at most craft shops.

would a light rub with alcohol and then a blow dryer work?

why do I need to clean it? 14 grandkids age 15 to 2 years old!! need I say more? it's still sturdy and the fan works great because we maintain it/but the air flow sucks. or rather it doesn't blow. I have resrticted airflow to top and nothing "floats"!
