i am guessing yoru questions means , other than cheating... The best way i found to make money was to do trade runs, it takes a little while, but you make the most over all... of course you can also become a pirate, but that can be difficult, and boring from time to time because all you can do is sit in a warp point and wait for a cargo ship, then blow it up, run away, and go back to the pirate place, if you do that though, you ruin the story line.
