Yes for the same reasons as Perryman but I would add being serious about it does not take away the fun and excitement.

Life is a barrel of monkeys and and I am one of the biggest chimps of all.I think if I took life too seriously I would be in a mental ward.Even in trying times personally I can find humor,even if it is sarcastic.

Yes. I'm constantly aware of the vast responsibility I have in my thoughts, words and actions and how they affect others. This is NOT to say that I don't have a lighter side and know how to have a great time. You can be serious about life but also be serious about enjoying it. Live hard, play hard.

I take life as a whole very seriously, but over all I try to recognize that reality is what you choose to make it. For example, my father died recently, and we (my mother and I) decided to have some friends and family over for a wake of sorts. The way most people look at them, funerals are very "Serious" occasions, but because of how we chose to look at it, this little get-together managed to be enjoyable, the way he would have wanted it anyway. My point here is that it's possible to "Take life seriously", but still not have to treat every moment of every day as though it presents some new reason to be stressed out. Too many people confused not taking life "Seriously" with not having any real emotional investment in things.

I try not to take life seriously, because life doesn't take me seriously. If I work hard and suffer, life can still deal me a big blow and give me tragedy---so no, I never take it seriously----always have fun and don't let things upset you----it's how you react to things that matter, not the things themselves. :)
