If you love two people how do you choose between them? (I'm thinking of s/o's not just friends)

Most people try to come up with some kind of 'true love' test, like King Solomon's idea of cutting a baby in half. But first, you should try to determine if it's love, or lust. Chances are you love one, and lust for the other. And if you lust for both of them, hell, it's the 21st century. Have a threesome.

Some people are able to live with being in love with more then one person when all parties agree to an open relationship amongst themselves and those people. It can get a bit complicated, but maybe it would be worth it. I'm always told that in a pair of 3 someone ends up getting hurt, but I'd like to believe that this is not always true.
