Would that be a wedding anniversary? What sort of things do you like doing? I might have some ideas if you give me some clues. I used to be an event planner.

Since an anniversary is a celebration of the two of you, think back to what brought the two of you together (what you two liked doing back then, where you met, etc.). Digging into those memories should lead to a few sentimental ideas. Otherwise: A swanky dinner is always nice Roses in all different colors, with a poem written about what each color means to your relationship (i.e. red=love, yellow=friendship) Mutual hour long massages

well my fiance for our 3 year anniversary took me for a weekend away had meals out played bowling did some shopping, the hotel was full of roses and candles very romantic

Put the kids at your parents place for the weekend, get a hotel room, have a nice dinner out, go see a show (thinking broadway). None of it has to be super-expensive, but the whole "weekend on the city" theme will rejuvinate you.
