  • Have you checked your fuses? To me it sounds like you have a wiring issue with your parking lights
  • I'd say there is a short between the brake and parking light circuits. They are supposed to be separate. My first inclination would be the bulb or socket where the brake bulb is. It's probably a double filament so at that socket the electricity from each is at it's closest point. There may be a problem with the base of the bulb or the bulb socket itself where there is contact between the two circuits. I'd fix that first and then worry about the dash lights afterward. That could very well just be the fuse having blown caused by the short in the brake circuit.
  • Sounds like a turn signal switch to me. Dash lights could be the headlight switch or just the bulbs in the dash. It's getting up there in age.
  • the parking lights thing is just that you probably have wires tied together or a short
