  • That depends on whether you want to go on to higher education, or train for a specific job. If you know what you want from your future, career-wise, and it doesn't depend on exam results then fine, GCSE's are less important. But if there's a chance, even a remote one, that you will one day wish you had some quals then get on and study for them now, while you have the opportunity. They also show a potential employer what your strengths and weaknesses are and that you are capable of learning.
