Most people would say it is morally wrong - until a loved one receives life-saving treatment that was made possible by such research.

Hard to say. We can't understand their language; although, it's not like we're interested. I'm an animal activist and I agree in some research...but injecting them with chocolate and cutting their leg to let them die isn't morale. And this is supported by every-day companies like Mars/(m&ms).

I'm not losing any sleep over "vermin" used in medical research, but that's where I draw the line. I don't approve of other animal testing, such as cats, dogs, monkeys, etc.
