What do you think is the main difference between those AB members whose profiles are filled with a lot of information about themselves, and those AB members whose profiles have little, if any, personal information about them?

Some of us are more into internerd safety then others?

some memebers want to stay as annonymous as possible and others want people to get to know the´m, maybe look for friend in here and some basic info is always a good start

Some people don't want to be judged based on age, gender counntry of origin etc...

Mine is filled out, but I understand how many would not want to risk privacy. Heck, if a bunch show at my door we'll fire up the grill and frosty beer and breakout into party mode.

I don't see any significant difference.Its may be people think different.Some may feel comfortable to post their details online.Others may want it to be secure;probably they are more cautious.

I like to be different (by being the same) I just want to give someone something to look at if they were to check me out ;)

Rosie my profile is quite empty and I have been here a year and have yet to put all there is about me that I would love for other ABers to read. In a way, it seems as if I would be talking about myself and I am not so sure what all there is to say about me right now...LOL Now when it comes to anyone really getting to KNOW me, I think if they just read my Q & A they would get a pretty good grasp of who Misstarrie is. I lay my personal life out there and do not hold back. So to answer this question to know me personally someone is going to have to look beyond my profile and dig a little deeper into what I actually have to say. :)

I don't say much because I don't want spam from internet spammers. If you read my answers, I hold hardly anything back. I'm 69, second marriage, 5 kids (2 mine, 3 hers-all lived with us), social worker (license now inactive) MPA, etc.

I rarely if ever look at profiles but I guess some people do. Maybe I should place something there, but I've never really seen the need. I've thought about doing something for my MIL there. But I figure if someone doesn't know what I'm about from my answers as they read them, then they aren't going to go look at my profile. But I don't, maybe I should do something there, post photos of the seasons. I guess some people give it more thought or aren't as lazy as I am lol!

I am a 1 liner profile person and I'm somewhat satisfied with it............I don't have a good reason for it other than extreme laziness.

I never look at other people profile. I'm too lazy to fill out mine.

We'll my FRIEND....Everyone may have their reasons. And who knows? Maybe its a part of their right to privacy. I myself more or less base the profile of a AB member by their answers & comments. For most can tell when one is being truthful from the HEART. And the HEART will show the TRUE person they really are........Take care my FRIEND...Plus 6 .......M.C.S.

it doesn't bother if a person hasn't filled out anything on their profile, if they are worth getting to know - you can usually find put a lot about them in their Questions and answers. the only thing that I don't like so much are the people who are annonymous, I tend not to have good chats with them in the comments as I never know who is who.

Does it make any difference? People could be saying something about themselves that is totally untrue anyway.

a) In my profile I stated that I survived the sinking of the Titianic, which is not entirely true. b) I also stated that I was the first man to walk on Mars, I meant to say that I was the first to walk with a Mars bar. c) I also stated that I discovered America, which may not be true also.
